The instrument dishcarge device tester is specifically designed for considering the safety measures / functioning of the capacitor in use. This is achieved by measurement of time taken by the capacitor Unit under test to self discharge with the source provided built in. This is a small compact instrument for test with indication that the capacitor has a specified discharge time to achieve the voltage below 50V which is safe to handle. For this the need arises to measure the voltage across the capacitor and see the discharge time from the rated to the level below 50 volt. For easy and fast testing digital panel meters are provided which gives accurate reading and easy to operate controls even for a non skilled operator.The instrument is designed considering the need of IS standard 13340 (clause 16).
The instrument works on mains supply and is housed in a compact metallic cabinet powder coated with arrangement to lift. The instrument is a table top model and all the controls mounted on the front panel are easy to operate and clear viewing.
